LIVE STREAM OUR SERVICES! Sanctuary at 10 AM here and on Facebook and C2 on Facebook

March 14, 2020

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in time of trouble.” - Psalm 46:1

Dear Community Church Members and Friends,

We’re connected as a community of faith in all things, now as always affirming that there is more that binds us together than separates us in the worship of God. After prayerful consideration as a leadership team, we decided to worship by live-stream only, at 10 a.m. on Sundays for three weeks, March 15, 22, and 29. We will not gather for worship here on the community church campus during this time. We invite you to connect and participate in worship by live stream by simply connecting to www.ccovb.org at 10:00 a.m., or any time after the service has commenced throughout the coming week. While C2 will not be available by live stream tomorrow, we hope to live stream C2 on March 22 and 29, and will update you by email, Facebook and the church website as more information becomes available.

This was a very difficult decision, but one that we ultimately felt we had to make out of care and concern for our church community and broader community. We apologize for the short notice, but the safety of those attending our church and living in our community is our top priority. Obviously, conditions have changed since our decision was made earlier in the week to continue with worship in the sanctuary, chapel and C2, this week, a decision we changed today based on updated health information and community wide response.

In addition, all regular programming will be postponed this week including Bible studies, prayer group, Community at Community, Caring and Sharing, all youth activities, exercise classes, Sacred Pause, choir and handbell rehearsals. The ministry team will be hard at work to develop a way for them to resume programming the following week, using virtual technology. The Executive Committee, along with church staff will continue to monitor the Coronavirus, and will be providing more updates in the coming days and weeks. Board and committee meetings will receive directions from chair persons regarding ways to call in to regularly scheduled meetings.

The Community Church of Vero Beach has entered the 21st Century with our text to give option. All you need to do is text the amount you want to give to (772)222-3393. There is a one-time set up where you enter your credit card on to a secure website and then you will have donated. Every time thereafter, all you need to do is text an amount to the number and you will make a donation directly from your credit card.

Visit ccovb.org/give to donate online. You can easily set up recurring contributions too. Our office is always here to answer your questions or help you with this. In addition, you may send your donation and return your pledge card by mail to the church office.

Please be safe and know that we are here to continue to support you. Worship will continue, so please join us from your home! We will get through this, and all shall be well!

God’s Blessings,

Prayer: In darkness and in light, in trouble and in joy, help us O God, to trust your love and serve your purpose. Help us know that in every storm and tumult there is an inner calm that comes from faith in you, and that from this central heart of peace your compassion flows to make us wise and loving expressions of your love in the world. Amen.
