Children and Youth

The Children and Youth Ministry at the Community Church offers a variety of ways to introduce children, young people and their families to the Christian life and faith in creative and fun ways. We offer a safe and fun place for families, children and youth to discover who God is and who God created us to be.

Community Church seeks a congregational life that supports and nurtures all family relationships between people of all ages.

Children's Ministry

At Community Church, we minister to the spiritual needs of our children through a children’s ministry program. We provide an environment in which children are safe, are taught at an age-appropriate level, and are encouraged to develop a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Community Church offers two nurseries for children ages infant to three years old during the worship hour. Parents are able to enjoy our services while being confident that their children are being well cared for in a developmentally appropriate environment. Certified nursery staff build lasting relationships with little ones each Sunday so children feel comfortable and secure during worship services.

Youth Ministry

Youth Ministry is the Community Church's continuing effort to help young people in middle school and senior high grow as individuals while exploring ideas, values, and faith.

At Community Church youth develop a positive self-image and overcome prejudices. They serve those in need while encouraging social change within the community. And, they develop a relationship with Jesus in their daily lives

We are committed to youth ministry. Youth Ministry is fun, faith, and friends. Young people need Jesus in their lives!

Weekly activities include fellowship, games, and meaningful devotions created to help youth cope with the pressures of being teenagers.

We encourage local mission opportunities. These include Christmas caroling over the holidays, helping at Shining Light Gardens, volunteering at the pantry at United Against Poverty, participating with painting and yard work with Youth in Action, and assisting with the Harvest Food Collection. Monthly recreational events include water parks, rock climbing, broom hockey, and going on mystery trips.

Family Ministry

At Community Church, Family Ministry is how our congregation supports and strengthens both families and the larger church family within our congregation.

Community Church works, counsels, and prays with persons from every age group and social background. These include people that are divorced, never-married, children from single-parent households, and everyone in between.
